Ben Dhiman won the men’s race in 18:16:29, a course record that took 5.4% off the previous best of 19:18:58, set in 2025. Blandine L’Hirondel set the women’s course record in 21:54:49, inside the 22:09:31 that had stood since 2024. Baptiste Chassagne was second among the men in 18:47:38, and Rachel Entrekin second among the women in 22:15:54.
Caleb Olson finished third in 18:48:24. He came to Chamonix as the winner of Western States in 2025 and left with a podium place over 9,900 metres of climbing, beaten by Dhiman’s record and by Chassagne.
The pace was not confined to the front. The median man finished in 38:03:27 and the median woman in 38:44:11, each the fastest median on the course for their division.
Women made up 267 of the 1,681 finishers, a small share of a field drawn from 85 countries. Near its front, though, that smaller race was the quicker one. The men had the faster winner and the faster median, but the order reversed among the leading quarter of each division. A woman needed 31:43:02 to finish in the first quarter of her division. A man needed 32:26:08.
Age slowed the field steadily, and by a wide margin. Runners in their 50s took a median of 41:37:56, 26% slower than the under-30s at 33:09:14.
The last finisher crossed in 45:53:17, inside the 46:45:00 limit.
